We are an organization dedicated to helping you plant and harvest your dreams. Located in the beautiful north
country of Idaho, our mission is to help you make your dreams come true.
SO CLOSE!!

Thanks to those of you who worked so hard to get dreams from every state by the 4th of July! In the past week dreams floated in from three more states: Louisiana, New Hampshire, and New Mexico. That reduces our count of dreamless states to a mere 5. The only states remaining dreamless at presstime are the District of Columbia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Vermont.

Not a peep from the White House thus far, but I won't give up. (For you new members, check out the June 31 issue of the newsletter: we sent an e-mail to Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney.) If anybody else wants to send our nation's leaders a headsup about what we're doing as a group, but you don't feel like writing a letter yourself, here's a radical idea. Go to the web page (www.dreamroundup.com) and find "Click here to tell a friend about the Dream Round-Up," then insert the e-mail address of the politician you want to bring into the loop. If it results in a new dream, you'll be credited.

Bt the way, just in case you forgot about our stellar cowpoke Amber Grady of Florida, she corralled another 40 dreams from that state and widened the gap between Florida and second-runner Idaho. You go, Amber! Sweet dreams to you all.<

FROM THE BOARDROOM

What are you afraid of?
Dream Team Boardmember and motivational speaker Phillippe Matthews is a big man in more ways than one. His 6'2" frame and 220 solid pounds stand at the helm of a magnetic personality that seems to win over even the most recalcitrant audience. But it's more than physical stature and social skills. Philippe Matthews has a message that can bring out the potential in everybody. He also has the credentials to back him up, and the experience to lend his words a certain punch. He can leave you dazzled, and more than a little inspired.

The author of the book How To Make Millions When Thousands Have Been Laid Off, Philippe heads Empower Magazine (empowermag.com), an internet e-zine that reaches over 10,000 subscribers. He is dedicated to helping others help themselves and is a firm believer in the power of one human reaching out to influence another.

It's a philosophy that's shared by all our Dream Team board members, which is why they've volunteered their time and expertise to team up in this grass roots movement.

Philippe grew up in "the projects" in Chicago. He's the brother of a beloved sister, and the son of an abusive and alcoholic father who made little if any positive contribution to the family, and a mother who fell victim to cancer when he was still a child. In his early years he was subjected to living conditions that'd give anybody an excuse to lose sight of their dreams. Roaches, rodents, drug deals, shootings, gangs - these were the everyday attractions on Philippe's "playground". He dropped out of school in the 6th grade to take care of his mother, and when she died shortly thereafter, he and his sister were on welfare for a while.

But it wasn't long before the budding entrepreneur's amazing potential began to appear. Dubbed least likely to succeed by all who knew of his background and stunted education, Philippe made a choice not to let his environment become his reality. He reprogrammed his mind to carry the vision of a dream life: a life of abundance, and love, and security, and helping others. He found inspiration in the words and deeds of others who had succeeded on strength of character, and the courage to face their fears and move beyond their comfort zone.

One of the most important tools that helped Phillippe help himself was the courage to face his fears and move beyond his comfort zone. The life of strife was ugly in many ways, but it was familiar, and change is scary, even when it's a change for the better. But Philippe followed his vision of a better life by facing his fears. Every time he did this, he jumped to the next level iin the pursuit of his dream.

In an interview July 3 with Dream Round-Up founder Brad Dugdale, Philippe had this advice for subscribers: Any time you are afraid you're about to enter a time of major change, your fear is the internal message of opportunity knocking. What a novel idea, to take one of the most uncomfortable feelings in the human experience, and see it as truly good news! So, Philippe says, if you are following your dream and you feel uncomfortable, pay close attention!
Something wonderful is about to happen.
So... what are YOU afraid of???!
