Is it magic???

The Dream Roundup Newsletter

Dear Dreamers,
Is it magic that makes written dreams come true? Or something more "nuts-and-bolts"?

Some are of the opinion that once we write our dreams, we become aligned with our passions, more acutely aware of the opportunities that appear before us, and we start making better decisions that keep us on the path, with sharper focus. Some believe it's a force that's more mysterious than that--call it magic if you wish, or divine intervention.

My guess is that our board members, who've had a lot of experience in dreams-come-true, believe it's a combination of several things: hard work, guided by purposeful vision and focus (which dream-writing creates), the gift of support (compliments of the DreamTeam!), and a blessed sprinkling of some force we invoke with our written dreams but are incapable of nailing down with logic and reason.

DREAMS FROM EVERY STATE BY THE 4TH OF JULY!

Help!!! We still need dreams from D.C., Mississippi, Iowa, New Hampshire, Kentucky, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Maine, and Vermont.
Sweet Dreams!

From The Boardroom
I met a fabulous lady this week who didn't like the idea that writing your dreams helps them come true. "It offends me," she said. "I worked hard to get where I am. If all somebody else has to do is write their dreams, and 'poof!' they come true, that's ridiculous!"

I understand. But I believe life is a mix of things that "happen" (call them coincidences), and things you create with your hard work.

One of our subscribers needed to sell her home--it was on the market for months without a nibble. She wrote the dream, "My home sold," and within a week it did. That's one of those "poof" occurrences. Another subscriber, a single mom in an abusive relationship, wrote her dreams, and within 4 years they'd all come true: she left the relationship, moved away with her children, became a licensed and award-winning (and very well paid) financial advisor, met the man of her dreams, and is so happy, she's giddy. Was there work involved? You bet. But she worked hard before then, too, and she was stuck. Once she'd written her dreams, she had focus, guidance, support, and magic-- all on her side. Hers (and yours!) for the
asking.
May all your dreams come true!

Dream Tips
from board member Carla Fryling

1. Spend some time thinking about what you really want--make sure the dream you write really is yours. Don't be influenced by what others might think.

2. Develop a vision of that dream. Have a clear picture in your mind's eye. Fill in all the details. Add your other senses to the vision: touch, smell, taste, and hearing. Memorize the whole picture, so you can call it up at any time. You might find it helpful to create a "visioning board" with clips from magazines, etc., to help represent the dream, then put it where you can view it often.

3. Nurture the dream Think about it many times each day, and FEEL the feelings that go with it. Fuel the dream with passion. Step into that picture and experience all of your senses there. Truly believe that it will happen, and experience it as though it already has.

4. Take action. Even if it's only a small step, make sure some effort is made every day to attain your dream.

5. Review your dream every day. Make whatever changes are appropriate--as you change and grow, your dreams are likely to do the same.

6. Use your support network. Share your dream with your own personal "Dream Team": treasured friends, family members, a trusted coach, etc., and ask them to hold you accountable for the steps you must take to achieve your dream.

7. Detach yourself from the daily results and focus on the path, and the ultimate vision. Don't allow the "small stuff" along the way to discourage you. Remember, you KNOW you will achieve your dreams ultimately, so you're not going to be put off by small roadblocks. Enjoy the journey. Be exhilarated by every step, whether it's a difficult one or an easy one, because you know it is taking you where you want to go.

This week Florida held its lead, with 252 dreams overall, but we have no new "star" state, as the most new dreams for the week came from OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES! Pretty exciting, eh?
